It’s amazing how many people are discovering the Telepathy Tapes podcast by Ky Dickens….and feeling like they’ve stumbled across the “first” evidence for psychic abilities in gifted children. (in this case, largely autistic kids). The truth is, there is tons and tons of evidence for telepathy gleaned through experiments done in many labs – with many open minded scientists – many who started their experiments as conventional skeptics and scientific materialists.
What is unique about the “Telepathy Tapes” podcast?
I think, personally – because it feels and sounds exactly as it across – and it resonates with what many parents, caregivers and families discover on their own – through our own extraordinary experiences with precognition, seemingly “mind to mind” communication with those we love, and in many end of life experiences, with friends and family approaching the precipice of death, these sorts of experiences are exceptionally common.
Listening to kids who are relaying information that they “see” in their minds eye, often to their caregivers – in a very controlled setting (Dr. Diane Powell has been doing this work for a long time, and has been reporting on her experiences with autistic kids for well over a decade) – it all becomes very hard to hand wave away.
What do skeptics say?
Exactly what you’d expect them to say. That there is some fraud at play, or some more conventional explanations that the show’s credulous bent is sharing with it’s credulous (easy to believe bad ideas) audience. Of course, the same is said about Darryl Bem’s experiments where he “proved” psychic abilities in a lab setting with statistical support, or the work of Dr Dean Radin, or the work on remote viewing done in many labs for many decades by the CIA – nor the work of Dr Gary Schwartz with psychic mediums – it’s always the same criticisms, simply because they believe psychic abilities are “impossible” so any “proof” must be BS 🙂

Through interviews, personal stories, and purported demonstrations of these abilities, the podcast challenges conventional understanding of communication and consciousness.
Key Elements:
