Has anyone had a reading with Phil Quinn?
We have gotten a few questions about Phil Quinn readings, and our impressions of him as a medium – and to be totally honest, he’s not someone we had ever heard of before, hence……we have no experience – nor opinion to offer.
In watching a few of his youtube videos though – i’m not so sure how impressed I am with his philosophy, or his strong assertions. Â (we also find it a bit of a red flag when someone makes claims about the nature of how things are – without backing them up with some evidence or something that can be tested or validated – e.g. – in the clip above – “an aura extends 6 feet in every direction” – this is simply an assertion without any evidence – and no scientific basis for validation…..which is something every claim made by a medium SHOULD be subject to – and not something that should be taken as truth.
If you’ve had a reading with Phil Quinn – let us know by email or in the comments -and we’ll share some of the experiences in a dedicated post.

I had a reading with Phil, he is for real. He told me something that only my husband knew!!! I thinks thoughtful and very endearing !!!
I had a reading with Phil and it was amazing. He is clean and honest and able to connect with beings on the other side (loved ones etc.) and to transmit answers or advices etc. on any kind of subject. It can help a lot, if you feel stuck for a long time in your life to ask Phil for clarification. The more you want to know and the more specific you are, the better the outcome.
A great opportunity!
Hi please can someone tell me how to book a reading with Phil quinn I think he’s amazing and having lost a loved one recently I am desperate for a reading thanks
I paid 100.00 for what turned out to be a 20 min reading online. He basically just asked me what he could help me with and gave encouragement. Of course I appreciate that, but I didn’t get the impression he was in touch with those who have passed. Also said he would recommend an herbal remedy specific for my health problem and give me a free reading as a follow up, but he never responded to my emails.
Thanks for sharing your reading with Phil Quinn – sounds disappointing – and i’m not a fan of hearing mediums recommending “herbal remedies” for health problems – (as they aren’t doctors or medical professionals – and there is much that can – and has gone wrong when they assume they are) – and of course, not responding to follow up emails isn’t good either. Much appreciate you sharing – i’m sure others will find it helpful!
I booked a reading almost a yr ago. He had to reschedule my reading because of personal issues and I was ok with that. But my reading was for today and he was a no show. I prepaid for this meeting so very unhappy at the moment. Have emailed twice now to get a refund but have had no reply yet. But I did just email a few minutes ago. Very very unhappy at the moment.
Thanks for sharing your experience with Phil Quinn, Cynthia – keep us updated on whether you get a reply – and a refund. This mirrors someone else’s example on our site with a Phil Quinn reading – i’m not very impressed with what I’ve seen of him – but my opinion (running this site) doesn’t really matter – what does matter, is that people in this space are honest, reliable, transparent and courteous to paying clients and customers – and if this evolves into a pattern with Phil Quinn (as we’ve now heard a few similar stories which suggests more than an offhanded oversight – i’m happy to write something more prominent on our platform with a bit of a warning to all) Thanks so much – hoping all goes well for you – and keep in touch!
I had a scheduled meeting today. He tuned in only to signal that he was having zoom issues. Disappeared from the screen. I tried to phone him. No answer. He never returned to the computer meeting. What’s up with that?!!
Hi Karen – let us know how this situation resolves itself. If you don’t get a response – or a refund – I’d take immediate action – including reporting/disputing this with whatever financial instrument you used to pay. (I have zero idea how Phil Quinn processes payments – but rest assured, there are safety nets in place for folks who pay for services – when those services are not rendered – Paypal – Stripe – Credit Card co’s – etc – all have pretty favorable remedies in place for consumers – and are quite punitive to repeat offenders – which it does appear, at least based on the unusual amount of similar phil quinn reviews we’ve read here – that this happens quite often with his clients. (I use clients liberally here – as it usually implies a service has been delivered 🙂 Let me know if we can help!
Phil Quinn is 100% legitimate, after losing my wife back in August 2021 I was desperately looking for a medium A. The love my wife and I have had for each other was none like anything anyone has ever experienced. I literally thought there would be no issue with her contacting me. Because I could not communicate with her, I searched for a psychic medium desperately. I found tons of so called Hollywood mediums which I highly doubted. I finally found Phil online. After watching several of his videos and teachings I implemented some of his teachings and began to sense my wife’s presence. I definitely plan on hiring Phil for a reading and will keep you posted of my experience
I wished I could set up appointment with him I have learned so much from his utube videos
I had my first reading with Phil on Feb. 25th, and it was spot on. My phone rang right at my appointment time since I was not on a live reading. He brought up some information from my husband that I have never told anyone else, and it was true. I lost my husband some time ago and everything he said was accurate. My husband and I were unseparatable, were worked together and was rarely apart for 24 years. My life stopped when he pasted but finally I feel a connection again all to the gift that Phil has given me. He is the real thing
I had a reading with Phil and it was lovely….he tuned in and we had a great discussion..he was timely and responsible…..
£1000 per hour per reading
Are you saying that Phil Quinn charges $1000 per hour for a reading? If so……he’d better be a lot better than what we’ve seen of his work! 🙂 Going to do a deeper dive into Phil Quinn and share thoughts – he’s not someone I’ve ever heard of – but have gotten a bunch of questions about him over the last year – so if he’s charging folks 1000 an hour – based on the very little of his stuff I’ve seen – that invites some closer inspection.
I have a reading with Phil Quinn was not happy. he told me that I did not need a reading. and a refund I was going get back. the reading was 10 mins no refund was giving back. I try calling more than once no answer back. I don’t recommender him.
plus, he never got me a recording disc and never mention my family that passed.
Thanks for your review of Phil Quinn, Linda – I would file a complaint with your Credit Card (if you used one) -and share your experience with Phil Quinn everywhere he is rated/reviewed – and let them know (him, or his office) that not refunding your money is going to cost him a lot more, than the cost of the reading. We have no patience for this sort of “scam” – and if you need help, send us an email and I’m happy to advise. Sorry this happened to you – but appreciate you sharing.
Well Linda, I just had a similar experience. He ended the 1 hour reading ended after 10 minutes, and said he would process a refund. He never processed it. He said there would be a recording of the 10 minutes that I did receive, but never provided it. He said to contact someone at his office to reschedule the reading. That person never responded to email. I know he is a highly skilled celebrity, but come on. Its so wrong to play with people like this when youre claiming to be spiritual.
This feels to me like something you’d want to report – to either your credit card company – the bank – the BBB – on Yelp (if he’s listed there) his youtube channel – and otherwise. There is absolutely no chance that if folks like Phil Quinn are scamming people out of money, that you shouldn’t have every type of recourse you’d have if you paid for a mechanic to fix your car – and they never did – or you pay a landscaper to fix your lawn – and they never show up 🙂 There are many laws that are relevant here – and to be honest, the pain that ordinary people who have had bad experiences with Phil Quinn (if that’s indeed true -which is appears to be, by dint of the repeated pattern of similar experiences shared here – which we can’t of course, validate) – but if it is indeed true – the financial, legal and reputational pain that you can inflict on his business – is far greater than the amount he has failed to refund – on any individual reading. (PS – Phil Quinn is certainly not a celebrity – I get that he frames himself as such – but no one we know in this space, who are legitimately well known authors/teachers or “mediums” in this space – has ever heard of him – nor have I, prior to the reports we’ve gotten here about his services)
Phil and his husband Steve are scam artists. Do not trust them.
How do you know?

I watch $75 Chakra class and have not been able to review it again/UGH! I cannot find it. I put in my dissatisfaction and was told I would be sent the link for me to review it again and it never happened. I will never pay for a class again. That was not easy to come up with your high price charge. Please treat me right.
Hey Helen – are you saying that you paid for a class from Phil Quinn on his website – and weren’t able to access it thereafter? We’re obviously not affiliated with Phil Quinn in any way – but would be happy to let other people know if he’s not supporting his paid customers/clients. (as we’ve heard from a lot of folks who feel taken advantage of by Phil Quinn and/or his team) Thanks 🙂
I agree. I had a reading with him 2 years or so ago and it was not legit. I had a reading and he ended it within 10 minutes, stated he could not get a reading from me, told me he’d refund me but also mentioned trying another reading. I was never refunded for a scam.
I had a reading with Phil and it was great.he knew things no one else did.on my first reading we had technical issues but he rebooked two days later and was spot on. I find it hard to believe some of the things being said about him taking money and not doing your reading….
Thanks, Catherine for sharing – we appreciate your experience – and it’s nice to hear you had a good experience and reading with Phil Quinn! (the folks who have shared here about not so great experiences are also important – and we’ve received about the same amount of those by email as well that are not published (as I don’t feel it’s our job to share negative “reviews” that are submitted by email, rather than as comments on the site) – but our default position (after thousands of reviews over the years of the many folks we’ve featured on our community) is that people are sharing their honest and authentic experience – to the best of their ability and recollection – and patterns do emerge fairly quickly – so what may be “hard to believe” for you – certainly isn’t for me – predicated on much of what we see, behind the scenes – in addition to what ends up published – on the public part of our platform. I hope many other people who have had good experiences with Phil Quinn share them – and as long as they’re truthful and honest – I am happy to publish them for others to read. Thanks so much for your comment!
He does not charge a thousand an hour..also,he will do a second visit for half price…and he sends recording of your reading to your email..people should be honest..Catherine
I have emailed 3x to request my recording– no one will respond– I know he has an assistant Kathryn– avoiding a paying customer is not cool
I think Phil Quinn is a creepy dude – I’m certainly not psychic – but I think there is going to be some public relations (and potentially legal) pain in Phil Quinn’s not so distant future – it sounds like he deserves much of what’s on the near term menu – in a bunch of years running sites like this one (and a number of much bigger communities in the spiritual growth space writ large) – there are very few “mediums” who who come off as genuinely dishonest, unethical and at bottom – a run of the mill grifter – and unfortunately – based on what people like yourself are sharing here and elsewhere with increasing urgency – Phil Quinn is one of the select few, who do.
I had a reading with Phil almost 20 years ago & it really was amazing. Family came through & the info was spot on. Even though it was long ago, I have family members who have had more recent readings. They were all very happy with their readings & thought Phil was amazing also.
I wouldn’t recommend him unless you want to lose your money. He never called when our Skype was scheduled. I emailed his assistant Kathryn who never responds. It only did I not get the reading, I didn’t get a refund either. They are running a scam IMO.
Hey there – sorry you had such a bad experience with Phil Quinn – unfortunately, we’ve heard many similar stories of folks who felt scammed by Phil Quinn – and/or his office. (as is evidenced by the similar stories reported by others in this thread) If you’ve paid for a reading via Credit Card – or Paypal – or Venmo – or via bank check, etc – there are always financial remedies available – speaking for myself (i’ve never had a reading with Phil Quinn, just as a general rule) – I’d make sure I not only got my money back – but I’d make sure that the payment processing companies he is using were aware that he’s stealing money. (as that is, at least in how I read your “review” – a crime – and if enough people report the same experience – he won’t be able to accept digital payment from anyone – other than cash – in short order)
I’ve had a couple readings with Phil but after a reading today, I am not impressed and will never give him another dollar. He tried to tell me that my inner child needed work and that I could possibly join his inner child class, but not sure if I would be allowed in. Why would somebody say that?
It’s not a nice thing to say, Lala -and while I have no idea what prompts Phil Quinn to say anything I’ve heard him say (per his online videos) and more concerning – the many things folks here in the comments have said about their experiences with PQ – I would certainly be very wary of him for a whole host of reasons – which will, no doubt, at some point – in total – start to leave much reputational damage in their wake. As far as telling you that you may (conveniently) have inner child issues when he has an “inner child class” (big surprise, there! 🙂 – but you may not be allowed in – I can’t speak to why one would say that, but if I were to conjur up a very non psychic guess, it would be too create the appearance of exclusivity – or you needing to qualify – as it’s reserved for “special” people or some sort of similar silliness. This is a very common grift in the online universe – where making people “apply” or beg to join something – is yet another way that gurus and grifters and bad actors in the world – get good people to part with their hard earned money. I’m sorry you had a bad experience – and while i’m not a therapist – I’m going to go out on a limb and say – your inner child is 100% fine 🙂
Received my reading completely happy — there was a misunderstanding
Hey there – glad you got everything resolved – and glad you are happy with the outcome! When you say above – you’re hesitant to ever have a reading with him again – and you’re not impressed – what does that mean – relative to the “completely happy” and “the real deal” comment a few minutes beforehand? I know a lot of folks here are interested in experiences with Phil – so if you’d be comfortable sharing your thoughts – i’m sure others would appreciate it!
Let me clarify, you’re right that’s confusing. Like I said, I’ve had numerous readings with him and for the most part, he’s been great on specific items in my life with that said, I haven’t really gotten any more information than what he has repeated in the past. The thing that bothered me enough to write this comment was he told me I needed to work on my inner child and yet when he started to discuss upcoming opportunities on his website. He stated that, I don’t think you’d be ready for it because you need to do some work on your own. This left a bad taste in my mouth. Almost like I had to beg to get into his group. I find this somewhat of a sales tactic. And I could be completely wrong. That is the only negative thing that , I feel at this moment. I also feel that he has given me as much information as I need. All the answers are within my own self. And I don’t ever need to speak with a medium again. It’s almost a feeling of I have arrived, and I have outgrown any of the services by him or anybody else. I hope that clarifies this topic for you and other readers. I think it’s up to each person to try a medium and then reflect if that medium has given them/you insight or answers. But I have now moved on from the past reasons I may have wanted to speak to someone About answers from the other side
Yes, let me clarify. Sorry for any confusion. Look, I’ve had multiple readings with Phil over the years. He really is great and told me things that helped me in my life at the time. This last reading there were some emailing problems and tech Ology was putting emails into my spam account. I failed to check there because I’ve never had a problem. What bothered me with my last reading was that he said I needed to work on my inner child and that he was creating a program to address working on the inner child. But he also said that I likely wouldn’t be allowed in Because I needed to do my own work. And what was weird about it was he stopped the recording before he said that, so that was the only thing that was really upsetting to me. I am hesitant to have a reading with him because of that issue. I could be completely wrong, but it was just the feeling I got. I feel that if people want to have a reading with Phil Quinn or anyone else they should do that and Conclude if it’s right for them or not. I don’t think I’ll ever have another reading from him or anybody else for that matter I’ve moved on.
This is the second time I wrote this post so there might be two because it appeared that it did not go through. So if so, I apologize do I think Phil Quinn is the real deal 85% yes I could be wrong either way.
Thank you! Makes much sense now that I look at the entire thread – glad that you got some resolution – and glad that the experience ended up being a positive one. There is a great quote that I love – and i’m going to paraphrase it – it’s by Alan Watts, (the author and philosopher who wrote about zen and mindfulness and meditation back in the 70’s I believe) – it’s something like – “When you get the message, hang up the phone” 🙂 (I think referring to people experimenting with all sorts of different spiritual and trippy practices back then) Appreciate all the clarification – very helpful – i’m sure, for many who visit this thread!
I met with him recently and he told me only what you would read in a loved ones obituary…. he also stopped to look at a computer screen and I could see him reading off something. very disappointing. there was nothing evident nothing you couldnt of found with a quick google search, all generic information.
Never received my recording that I paid for – have emailed- no response-
I’m disappointed and feel violated
I can imagine that feels violating to me as well -lots of bad reviews for Phil Quinn coming in these days – not neccessarily for his skills as a “medium” (lots of those too) – but more concerning – as a human being. Hope you get your recording – and i’m sorry you are in the “feel ripped off by Phil Quinn” client community – by virtue of the amount of folks complaining about him – he feels like someone I’d recommend people, especially grieving people – avoid.
Phil Quinn is a great guy – and the real deal – he resolved all my issues there was a miscommunication and misunderstanding–
But I’m still hesitant to ever have a reading again with him. I’m not impressed anymore.
I had a reading in 2021 that I thought was authentic. I got validation about a loved one that only he could have given. Then in 2022 I had another reading that was totally different. He was trying to be a life coach. Did NOT provide any validation and it was basically a waste of time. I now believe he has lost his psychic ability. He is giving classes on chakras etc. All the info he gives you can get free on the web. It is a shame, but I would NOT recommend anyone spending money on his “readings”.
Thanks for sharing, Char – sorry you had a disappointing experience most recently with Phil Quinn – although it sounds like your first one was a bit better. I’m not sure what I think about the idea of “losing ones psychic abilities” – knowing hundreds of people who do this work (running this community and a bunch of others like it) – I’ve seen folks have great days – okay days – and many, many mediocre/bad days a well (when it comes to the readings themselves and the customer/client responses they get thereafter – who often share their disappointment with us – privately) – if I had to guess, based on what others have reported about Phil Quinn – that what he is today – is probably what he’s always been – and life coaching/chakra readings and that sort of stuff is much easier to fake than evidential mediumship. I’m a skeptic to be honest – (the only one, I think – in our small publishing community that focuses on spiritual topics – who believes most “hits” (those things people think are evidential) – are likely the byproduct of other more prosaic insights and intuitions – and not evidence of communication with spirit(s) 🙂 There are some exceptions to this rule for me – I have seen several mediums in person and in small group settings – that seem to consistently offer up evidence that is difficult to dismiss – and to my eye – is genuinely paranormal or hard to explain – but those folks are very, very rare and very few. (Gordon Smith in the UK is one – Jon Edwards – as much “hate” as he gets from skeptics – I’ve seen do some stuff in small settings that are either the byproduct of complex fraud involving everyone in the room – or – genuinely astonishing – and the quintessence of evidential mediumship. I would be very surprised if Phil Quinn (and many others like him) are doing anything like that – nor actually doing what they think – or promise others – that they are. (some are old fashioned con artists and grifters in this space – several of whom are reasonably famous – but most, really think they are mediums – are good people – who are just a little too impressed with their own “spiritual” abilities. I hope i’m wrong of course – and try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt – but alas, with the appropriate amount of scrutiny and the microscope of real attention, their “readings” and evidence falls fairly flat – fairly fast.
