What is a Medium?

And how does being psychic differ from having mediumistic style skills?

The truth is, so many psychics, clairvoyants, and spiritual life coaches use terminology so interchangeably that it’s difficult to discern who does what…..and quite truthfully…..what is fact, versus what is fiction in the whole spiritual space.

The fact is, that mediums are very different than psychics, and quite frequently, can (and SHOULD!) provide very specific, evidential information that confirms that they are doing something outside of the ordinary.

In my own experience? A good “psychic” is typically someone who is either very skilled at connecting with your emotional energy, or able to pick up life patterns that reveal quite a lot about who you are, where you’ve been, and where you may be going.

Psychic abilities run the gamut from ESP to precognition to even an unsually acute sense of empathy – or the ability to connect with others on a very deep emotional and energetic level. This is often less supernatural than it appears to be, and can be cultivated through many emotional exercises that focus on cultivating connection and compassion with clients.

Genuine mediums are a much different “animal” altogether..….and lend far more credence to the idea that the human soul or spirit is far bigger and bolder than the body alone. A good medium provides evidence (often called an evidential medium for this very reason) that the soul or spirit continues on after physical death, and will offer up very specific pieces of information that serve to satisfy skeptics, believers and the curious but not convinced alike.

Not all psychics are mediums..and as a matter of fact, very few genuinely are. Most mediums ARE in fact psychic, in the sense that they are picking up information and interacting with energy in a way that transcends what most of us experience on a daily basis.
