Are you waiting for the perfect time to turn your love of spirituality and helping people into a daily practice that will allow you to what you LOVE into a living?
There is an old saying in the spiritual and personal development “marketplace” that “we teach what we most need to learn.”
In other words, you don’t have to have it all figured out to help others dance in the direction of their dreams, and destiny. You don’t need to have every answer to be able to do amazing things in the world for those who truly need your help.
The reason I point this out?
The BIGGEST obstacle I see people facing when it comes to putting their natural gifts into the world is worrying that they aren’t there yet. That they need to do more work, or train more, or learn more, or figure out more, BEFORE they can really affect the lives of others in a positive and powerful way.
I say, that’s the completely WRONG way to look at it. If you feel a calling to help others…and are truly ready, willing and able to invest energy and emotion in helping people overcome their biggest challenges, you are already a spiritual coach, teacher or mentor.
The only thing that is left is actually putting that into the world in a way that allows you to extend your influence, reach MORE people and affect more change for the better in the lives of your friends, family, clients and community.
The 4 things that every good spiritual life coach needs are actually exceedingly simple.
- You need PASSION for people.
- You need to feel a sense of purpose about what it is that you are here to do. (otherwise, the appeal of actually doing it falls away fast)
- You need to believe in something BIG. Something bigger, bolder, more magical, mysterious and meaningful than money, or your own ego, or simply what your business card says you do for a living.
The 4th thing is actually pretty obvious – but often overlooked.
- You need to be able to turn all of the above into a profitable “business” if you truly want to wake up the world with your work and do what you LOVE for a living.
Why? Because if you can’t invest the time, energy and enthusiasm into helping people succeed, you’ll never have the influence you are destined to have. And if you can’t charge people for what you offer….and can’t earn an income from doing what you do best, you’ll be shortchanging both yourself…and a huge community of clients that is waiting for someone JUST like you to come along in their lives.
