Are free online psychic readings worth it?

Are they a waste of money……or can you get a genuine reading from a totally free psychic, medium or professional clairvoyant?

And if there IS a catch…..what is it?

The truth is, we get a lot of questions about free online psychic readings, simply because the ads can be found everywhere.

QAOf course you have to remember that most things in life that sound too good to be true…typically are, and unfortunately, I find myself the bearer of bad news whenever this question comes up in our own community.

Here is the “Catch” if you want to call it that, about free psychic offers:  (there are exceptions, but this is generally the rule)

Essentially, what you are going to get is either a scripted reading, typically of a horoscope or astrological bent, followed by a soft (or hard) upsell to buy more expensive psychic services.

For example…a very common bait and switch style technique is for the reader to tell the client or caller that they have more information to share, but that the client or caller has to uprgade to get it.  (not cool – not ethical – and something that makes me shudder with anger when my readers tell me about)

There ARE some psychic services that offer introductory minutes to “test” your comptabalitity with a clairvoyant or reader that works in their employ, or to make sure if you aren’t happy with who you’ve picked, you can move on and select someone else.

That is totally kosher and 100% cool – and this is very different than the scenario I described above.

In other words, if there is a metered time frame advertised in advance (e.g. – 5 minutes – 7 minutes – or whatever the offer is) that is something well worth checking out – and is a legitimate way of selling a free reading, as everyone knows the details, and the deal.

(e.g. – you know that the reading isn’t going to last for long – and that you are only getting an opportunity to test or try the psychic or service you want)

Of course the ads to avoid are those that promise “100% free psychic readings” without any qualifiers or details, as you know that they are ALWAYS going to be a scam.

Still not convinced?  Check out some more random articles from around the web on free readings below, OR post your experience with low cost psychics or free trial psychic readings on our twitter page as well.

it is also important to note that a legitimate online psychic service should not be asking for sensitive information such as your social security number, home or work address and other information that can put your security at risk. A genuine psychic website usually requires you to provide your valid email address and lets you create your username and password so you can log back in when you need more of their psychic services the next time around. You should be careful with the information that you provide online. If you think the website is asking too much information, stop right away and take note of the website so you won’t fall into the same fraud again.
