Q:  How do mediums communicate with those on the “other side” ?

Do all mediums use the same psychic skills?  Do all mediums get visual evidence that a spirit is present…..or do some mediums only hear, feel or sense spirit in some other way?  And is there ONE form of communication with the afterlife that is more reliable than the rest?

A:  The funny thing is, many mediums are very “snobby” about their own method for communicating with the other side, and will discount or disregard the skills of others.  For example, we recently interviewed a physical medium, who brings forth, what he calls “actual” evidence from the other side…..in the form of apports (objects that appear, seemingly from the spirit realm) as well as quite literally, physical manifestations of those who reside in the spirit realm.   (and has many fantatical fans and followers who have witnessed and testified to these incredible ethereal appearances and believe they are 100% genuine)  This medium does NOT however……give any credence to “mental mediumship”, which of course, is the type of mediumship that is MOST common, and most popular with the public.

Other mediums we know well think that ALL physical mediums like the one above are a bunch of bunk….and so on, and so forth..:-)

The truth is, while certain types of mediumship are more common than others, (with mental mediums being the most common), there are MANY different and unique ways that spirit can communicate – from signs, smells and symbols, to communicating via telapathic means, to visual representations.  (usually to the medium alone, but occassionally, as above….to a room full of astonished and amazed observers as well!)

The key to getting a reading with a medium that give YOU the evidence that you need?

Start with where you are.  You don’t need to push the limits of what your comfortable with, and spiritual experiences often happen sequentially.  (e.g. – you get what you need, where you are, to move up the totem pole of truth, and you don’t need to start at the top if it’s going to frazzle your spiritual sensibilities..:-)

Enjoy…..you can read the whole thing at the link following the short excerpt below 🙂

For example, if a spirit wants to give the medium the name Sandy, they might flash (in the medium’s mind) the face of a person whom the medium knows named Sandy. If they want to get the medium to say the word “coffee,” they might show the medium someone’s cat that had the name Coffee. This can be confusing and requires that the medium interpret what they are seeing in their mind. For instance, the medium might say cat rather than coffee; and to the person being read, the medium might appear wrong when the medium is actually just “misinterpreting” the message.Four, some mediums get feelings or sensations in their body and mind, both physical and emotional. A spirit can make the medium feel sad if they are trying to convey the message of depression. Or they can make the medium’s lungs feel tight if they are trying to convey the message that someone had pneumonia or lung cancer. It is not uncommon that a medium will feel a painful sensation in the head if the spirit is trying to relay the message that there was a head trauma that caused death. This could be due to an auto accident or suicide (or any number of causes), so the spirit will also send another message—perhaps a telepathic picture of a smashed car—to complete the story for the medium.
