What is a psychic medium anyway?

Mediumship is a special type of psychic ability that connect the intuitive with spiritual energies and loved ones that “live” on the other side.  When the physical body dies, the soul or spirit or energy of the body lives on….and this is the essence that a GENUINE medium can communicate with.

What is psychic addiction anyway?

Honestly?  It depends on who you ask.  Many people consult with spiritual advisors and psychic intuitives on a regular basis to make important life choices.  This includes famous people, celebrities, politicians and even royalty and presidents alike.  But some people become so dependent on having other people help them make these choices, that they become unable to help themselves without it.  And when this happens…..the shift is made from seeking psychic, or spiritual guidance, to instead….using this information and insight as a crutch.

But this is ALSO true…..

Enjoying regular psychic sessions and guidance doesn’t mean you have a problem.  On the contrary….I personally enjoy seeking out the advice of my most trusted intuitive advisors on a regular basis, and feel like my life is much improved by having them available.  But I’m able to make important decisions on my own…and see psychic input and advice as IMPORTANT, but not the only factor or consideration when choosing what to do with my life, or a particular set of circumstances.

Try to back away.  Start to rely on your OWN internal intuition to make some choices, and measure how well (or poorly!) you do.  Mediate on what you want to accomplish in life, and understand that you have a purpose, plan and a true reason for being here.  A psychic can certainly help illuminate that for you and help you find it FAR faster, but in the end, self reliance is key!  (both spiritually…and practically, for day to day life as well!)

Free Psychic Advice – WARNING! 2 Critical Reasons Why You Should ALWAYS Pay for Psychic Readings

I never get “free” psychic readings.

Want to know why?  I’ve never had a good experience with them!  After almost 20 years of psychic readings, research and writing both personally and professionally alike, it always astounds me how many people are interested in free readings…and then expect them to be good!  It’s tantamount to having a crisis with your car, and searching the yellow pages for FREE auto mechanics..:-)  

With this in mind, and after a rich reservoir of experiences with all sorts of psychics, here are the 2 MOST important reasons why I recommend my readers don’t search for free psychics, and instead…..wait until they can spend a few bucks before they begin to search for psychics.

Reason #1?

Most FREE psychics aren’t really free.  It’s more or less a marketing manipulation to get you to call.  Why would they do this?  Because once on the phone, many people are vulnerable to being SOLD on more expensive services, memberships and even monthly continuity programs.  I don’t find this to be ethical….and I simply don’t TRUST the services that employ these style tactics as well.  In this respect….”free” can often turn into a cash commitment you did NOT want to make, but feel pressured to pay because you aren’t good at saying NO!  (most of us aren’t)

Reason #2?

I’ve simply NEVER gotten a free reading that was any good.  The only exception to this rule is from friends who are professional readers, but that doesn’t apply to most of the people who are reading this.  (as most of you haven’t been writing about psychic readings as long as I have!)  But when it comes to calling a new service as a customer or client myself, I’ve found the “free” offers out there to be generally canned, scripted and sort of silly.  Have there been a few exceptions to this over the years?

Yes, there are one or two services that DO offer a genuine free reading before they’ll ask you to pay…..but compared to the hundreds of networks who DON’T, as a rule, I recommend you save your money and wait until you can AFFORD a small reading first.  (remember…..you CAN get a great reading for 15 or 20 dollars, which is a SMALL price to pay for a legitimate psychic or service)

1 – Avoid FREE fortune telling services and readings.  They are rarely good….and less frequently free!  As a matter of fact, in my view, a lot of the negative connotation that surrounds the psychic marketplace emanates from playing UP these stereotypes…as many of these services AND individuals are often bait and switch style offers that are well worth avoiding at all costs.

2 – Understand the NATURE of the reading you are getting.  The truth is, the more MODERN term for fortune telling is psychic.  Or clairvoyant.  Or intuitive.  Or sensitive.  Often the very BEST psychic services out there won’t even use the phrase fortune telling in their advertisements….or anywhere on their web sites or offers at all.  Why?  Because they don’t want that style of customer, or connotation associated with their business.  

If you TRULY want to find out your future…and your fortune, call a genuine psychic service, plain and simple!  Look for reputable networks who have been in business for a long while, are well rated and offer money back guarantees to ensure you are happy with the experience.  (it’s the same advice I follow myself…and after 20 years of more AMAZING readings than I can count, it’s the very same advice I offer to you as well!)

Feel the need to talk to a psychic like….PRONTO? Are you in the midst of a life crisis, confusion or simply stumped about what to do next? I’ve been there…and have had my share of amazing psychic readings that have opened up a WIDE window into a wonderful world of opportunities and options I didn’t realize I had. But before you do….here are 2 super quick tips for getting a REAL reading you’ll truly appreciate, remember and not immediately regret once it’s over!

The first tip?

Write down what you want to know before it begins. Take 5 minutes, and simply jot down 5-7 questions you want to focus on…and want your intuitive to answer for you. Be as specific as possible, and just identify the areas that you feel you need the most help. And don’t OVERDO it either…as keeping it simple can often yield the most enlightening answers.

The SECOND tip?

Stay away from absolutely free services…AND determine how much time you want BEFORE the reading begins. My rule of thumb? If you are having your first reading with a new network, never pay for more than 30 minutes of time.

Ideally…anywhere from 15 minutes on the low end to a half hour on the high side is MORE than enough time to see if you have a real rapport with a reader, and it ensures you won’t spend money needlessly learning the psychic, network or service is a scam. (if you do your due diligence ahead of time and only pick recommended networks, you should protect yourself from having this happen as well)

The verdict?

Get a wee bit organized both in terms of time, budget and the very specific answers you seek…and you WILL be amazed at how much GREAT information comes through in a very short time! (and pretty soon you’ll be such a fan…you’ll be writing articles just like this one yourself..:-)
